The Center for Bioinformatics is extremely proud of the accomplishment of our Assistant Professor John Karanicolas who won a 2010 Sloan Research Fellowship. Sloan Fellows are the elite of the new crop of scientists in the US and Canada, poised to become the leaders of their fields. John's achievement is a great honor to the Center and an excellent contribution to KU community. John's research focuses on applying protein design to better understand signal transduction pathways. This fellowship continues the tradition of the Sloan awards to our faculty members in 2007 and 2008.
